WOW! Really made me feel proud.

Today morning at about 9.30 am, was at the Breakfast Table with my elder son - Anirudh(7 years old). We were planning the day, since it was a Sunday and he wanted to spend time with me playing ball later on after returning from Church.

Now for the last week or so, my wife Sussie and myself have been involved in a Project called PANKAJA - wherein we are helping out with a Musical Concert on the Sept 30, 2006 in Toronto, Canada. The proceeds of the evening will be used the buiding of a Center for Underpriviledged Kids with special needs in a remote village in India.Well, I have been chosen to host the evening as the Master of Ceremonies. Late last night I had an insight.

Coming back to the discussion had earlier today at the breakfast table, I asked my son whether he would be interested in coming up on the stage and speak a few words and he answered ‘maybe’. So, I shared the cause with him and then asked him the following question:
In case you had $4.00 in your pocket left from your allowance and you were asked to donate to this charity? Would you? If yes, how much would you be ready to part with?
He thought for a second and answered ‘$2.00′. I was pretty impressed, however wanted to clarify this - I explained to him that ,he would be parting with 50% of his money. He nodded acceptance and agreed to come on the stage because he liked the cause and believed in it.
I thanked God silently, and am charged /motivated that this kid will really make a difference in that evening’s collections for PANKAJA on the Sept 30, 2006.
Don’t know why I am writing this down, but I surely feel good about it and certainly proud of him as a father.

God Bless Him.
